With over 100 applications received, the fair carefully selects new items based on factors such as experience, booth presentation, and a balance of similar products. Nordic Waffles, celebrating five years at the fair, has added two new items to their menu. Tasti Whip, a new vendor, is serving Dole soft serve. The new food items at the 2023 Minnesota State Fair have been ranked, with the Holey Hamloaf Breakfast Sandwich taking the top spot. Other highly rated items include Amish doughnuts, Kind of a Big Dill Pickle Lemonade, MinneCookieDough Pie, and Chicken Momo With Tomato Chutney. The Fried Green Tomato Sandwich, Basil Hummus With Spicy Walnut Topping, and Al Taco Baba received slightly lower ratings.
The Indiana State Fair has announced its lineup of new Fair Food Favorites for the 2023 fair, featuring a variety of mouthwatering treats such as BBQ Pig Wings, Bratchos, Buffalo Pork-n-Mac, Cherry Lemonade Twister, Chocolate Glazed Popcorn, Cinnamon Crunch Corn, Deep Fried Corn on a Stick, Deep Fried Sandwich Cookie Ale, Elote Street Corn Pizza, Flaming Hot Cheeto Corn in a Cup, Gimme S’more Bourbon Shake, Hoosier Burger Mango, Indiana Hardwood Nachos, Italian Melt, Lemon Drop Drizzle, Nutellaphant Ear, Pepperoni Pizza Pretzel, S’mores Funnel Cake, Sirloin Tip Fries, Smoked Bologna Burnt Ends, Spicy Sweet Chili Walking Taco, Street Corn Pizza, The Dirty Dog, The Hoosier Slam Dunk Caramel Apple Surprise, The Indiana Grown Burger, The Mac Daddy Empanada, The Walking Burger, Vanilla Dream Coffee Ice Cream Soda, and Wicked Chicken N Waffles. The fair will run from July 28 to August 20, 2023.
