"National Voter Registration Day Sparks Voter Engagement Across the Country"

Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day, and agencies nationwide are working to get qualifying citizens registered to vote. If you haven't already registered, you can check your registration status online or complete the voter registration application on the California Secretary of State's website. In-person registration is also available at county offices. To register in California, you must be a US citizen and California resident, 18 years or older on Election Day, not serving a prison term for a felony conviction, and not found mentally incompetent to vote by a court. The deadline to register for any election is 15 days before the election date.
