
Optimal Weekly Workout Frequency: Finding the Perfect Balance
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends that adults engage in at least 2 hours and 30 minutes to 5 hours of moderate-intensity fitness or 1 hour and 15 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes of vigorous-intensity fitness each week, along with muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days. For children, the recommendation is at least 60 minutes of "moderate to vigorous" physical activity every day.
