St. Louis officials rescue motorists trapped in flash floods.

St. Louis Fire Department responded to at least 15 different calls involving vehicles stranded and motorists trapped due to flood waters, as over 480,000 people in St. Louis and parts of Illinois were at some point under a flash flood warning. No injuries have been reported. All warnings had expired by Sunday night, and roads were beginning to reopen as the rain tapered off.

Winter Weather Alert: Snow and Cold Expected in Northeast and Northern Michigan

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula, and Geauga counties in Northeast Ohio from 2 p.m. on Saturday through 2 a.m. Sunday. Lake effect snow is expected to bring 2 to 4 inches of snow along and near the Lake Erie shore, and 3 to 6 inches in the higher terrain of Lake County. Motorists should expect slippery road conditions and poor visibility during the advisory. Sunday will feature leftover lake snows mainly early with clearing skies the rest of the day.
