Muslim NJ Mayor Blocked from White House Eid Reception, Secret Service Denies Entry
Mohamed Khairullah, the mayor of Prospect Park, New Jersey, was denied entry to the White House for the annual Eid celebration hosted by President Biden. Khairullah, the longest-serving Muslim mayor in New Jersey, was told by the Secret Service that his clearance was denied, but no further details were given. The Council on American-Islamic Relations called the episode "wholly unacceptable and insulting." Khairullah believes he was profiled and that his name is his "crime."
