T-Mobile's $1.35B acquisition of Ryan Reynolds' Mint Mobile brand.

T-Mobile is set to acquire Mint Mobile, the affordable smartphone brand backed by actor Ryan Reynolds, for up to $1.35 billion split into cash and stock. T-Mobile plans to continue Mint Mobile's $15 per month pricing option and use its supplier relationships and distribution scale to help Mint Mobile grow. Reynolds will stay on in his creative role, and Mint Mobile's marketing expertise will be incorporated into T-Mobile's portfolio to reach new customer segments and geographies. This acquisition will be T-Mobile's second major mobile purchase following its 2020 merger with Sprint.
