Miami GP managing partner Tom Garfinkel says the decision not to waterblast the Hard Rock Stadium track surface will pay off in the long run as it will age naturally and improve over time. Lack of grip on the surface posed issues for drivers during the race weekend, but race winner Max Verstappen reckoned it was good enough by the race. Garfinkel is contemplating getting more support races on board for 2024 to improve grip. Changes made to the Turn 15/16 chicane also worked well, according to Garfinkel.

Verstappen's clean overtaking, superb tire management, and getting the most out of the car when it mattered made him unstoppable. His Red Bull teammate Sergio Pérez started on pole but struggled on the medium tires, allowing Verstappen to make inroads on the slower compound. Verstappen's mighty middle stint on the hard tire, which held up better than expected, allowed him to move into the lead and benefit from the clean air as no cars ran ahead of him. Verstappen's victory broke Pérez's momentum and regained control of the narrative in the early championship battle.

Formula 1's pre-race driver introduction ceremony, which debuted at the Miami Grand Prix, will be used at six-seven grands prix this season, even outside of the three American races. The ceremony was heavily criticised by most drivers, who called the timing of the introductions "distracting" and "unnecessary". However, F1 included the driver introductions so that fans at the track and those watching at home could have a better idea of who was about to race. F1 and the FIA will work with drivers to mould and change the special pre-race procedure when it is used at future grands prix.
