Bronze Age Treasure Unearthed in Wales by Metal Detectorists
A significant hoard of Bronze Age artifacts, including axes, spearheads, rings, and a sword scabbard, has been declared treasure by the Welsh government. The items, dating back to 1000-800 B.C., were discovered by metal detectorists in an empty field in Wales. It is believed that they were deliberately buried in a ritual ceremony by a local community. The Amgueddfa Cymru museum is interested in acquiring the items, which provide insight into the connections between communities during the Late Bronze Age.
