Jay Monahan Set to Resume Role as PGA Tour Commissioner After Medical Absence
Jay Monahan, the PGA Tour commissioner, will resume his role on July 17 after recovering from a medical situation. Monahan expressed gratitude for the support and leadership during his absence and stated his eagerness to engage with players, partners, fans, and the PGA TOUR family. He had been on leave since June 13, shortly after brokering an alliance between the PGA and DP World tours and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Monahan's focus upon his return will be on securing a stable path forward for golf.
