"Study Links Alzheimer's Transmission to Human Growth Hormone Shots from Cadavers"
A new study suggests that five cases of Alzheimer's disease in the UK may have been caused by contaminated injections of human growth hormone from cadavers that the patients received as children. The hormone was extracted from the pituitary glands of cadavers, and in some cases, amyloid-beta protein, linked to Alzheimer's, was also extracted, contaminating the batches. This raises concerns about the safety of medical products and suggests a possible third way for Alzheimer's to develop.
