Controversy Surrounding Nnamdi Kanu's Release and Asari-Dokubo's Alleged Oil Contract Bid
Pro-Biafra group, MASSOB, has criticized former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, for opposing the release of detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Dokubo had warned President Buhari against releasing Kanu, calling him a criminal. In response, MASSOB called Dokubo a "frustrated criminal" and accused him of economic sabotage. The group also defended Kanu, calling him a "prisoner of conscience" and accusing Dokubo of seeking government contracts from Bola Tinubu.
