LIGO Records Largest Black Hole Merger Yet
The LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA collaboration detected the most massive black hole merger to date, producing a black hole about 225 times the Sun's mass, challenging existing models of black hole formation and demonstrating the advancing capabilities of gravitational wave astronomy.
