James Beard Foundation announces 2023 award nominees from across the US.
Two Oklahoma City chefs, Andrew Black of Grey Sweater and Jeff Chanchaleune of Ma Der Lao Kitchen, have been named finalists for the 2023 James Beard Foundation Best Chef of the Southwest Award. Both chefs have been nominated before and are two of the five finalists in a competitive region that includes Las Vegas and Dallas. The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in Chicago on June 5, 2023.
