BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic undergoes developer change and layoffs

BioWare has confirmed that Broadsword will take over development of Star Wars: The Old Republic, while BioWare focuses on its prestige franchises Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Electronic Arts will maintain publishing rights for the MMO, and SWTOR staff not joining Broadsword will be offered positions at other EA studios. The game's current roadmap is still in motion, with new content planned and full support from Lucasfilm Games. Other Star Wars titles in production include Star Wars Outlaws, a first-person shooter and strategy game from Respawn Entertainment, Quantic Dream's Star Wars: Eclipse, and a remake of BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Monkey Island Meets Sea of Thieves in Epic Crossover Event

Sea of Thieves has announced a new expansion called The Legend of Monkey Island, a three-part Tall Tale expansion that will start rolling out on July 20. The expansion will feature characters and voice actors from the classic adventure series, and players will get to visit freely explorable versions of both Mêlée Island and Monkey Island. The expansion will be released in monthly installments, all of which will be free.
