Brownout winds trigger 30-vehicle I-25 crash near Pueblo, 4 dead
A multi-vehicle crash on I-25 south of Pueblo, involving about 30 vehicles including six semis and horse trailers, left four people dead and 29 injured. High winds created dirt and brownout conditions with very low visibility. Northbound I-25 was closed at mile 93 and southbound at mile 94 after the 10 a.m. crash near Pueblo Boulevard; a secondary crash occurred in the southbound lanes. Southbound lanes reopened around 2 p.m., with a longer closure likely for the northbound side as investigators cleared the scene.
