China Conceals Surge in Covid Deaths as Citizens Uncover Alarming Cremation Data
Chinese officials have reportedly deleted Covid mortality data after a surge in deaths was discovered in the wealthy Zhejiang province following the relaxation of strict Covid lockdown rules. Cremations in the province increased by 73% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the previous year. The number of deaths recorded, 171,000, was significantly higher than in the same period in 2022 and 2021. This revelation adds to the accusations that China has been suppressing information and underrepresenting the true number of Covid deaths.
