Ukrainian Leopard 1 Crews Receive Vital Training with Borrowed Tanks
A Danish tank instructor is advising Ukrainian Leopard 1A5 tank crews to fight on the move, shoot at long range, and engage in night battles to maximize their chances of survival despite the tanks' thin armor. The Leopard 1A5 tanks, donated by a consortium of Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany, are set to become Ukraine's most numerous Western-made tanks. The tanks' lightness and advanced optics and fire-controls make them effective in certain conditions, allowing skilled gunners to hit targets at long distances.
