UK Teen Uses Fire TV Stick to Hack GTA VI and Rockstar Games from Budget Hotel

A member of the hacking group Lapsus$ used an Amazon Fire TV Stick, smartphone, keyboard, and mouse to infiltrate Rockstar Games and leak footage from the highly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto VI. The hacker, Arion Kurtaj, announced himself as an "attacker" in the company's slack channel while staying in a UK hotel room. Kurtaj was found guilty of hacking Rockstar, neobank Revolut, and Uber, along with a 17-year-old accomplice. The group, believed to be comprised mostly of teenagers from Brazil and the UK, has also targeted Samsung, T-Mobile, and Microsoft.
