Ukraine's Strategic Moves: Breaking Land Corridor and Ramping Up Counteroffensive
Ukraine's defense ministry believes that its forces have the potential to break the land corridor connecting occupied Crimea with Russia before winter, as they have already pierced Russia's first defensive line in the southern axis. Limited numbers of Ukraine's reserve troops have been deployed, while Russia is resorting to under-strength reserves earlier than planned. The intelligence chief also highlighted Russia's lack of strategic reserve and the insufficient manpower and equipment of its 25th Combined Arms Army. Ukraine's drone campaign aims to exhaust Russia's air-defense systems, disable military transport and bombers, and damage military production facilities.
