"Zhaoxin KX-7000 CPU: Doubled Performance but Trails Intel i3-10100 and 6-Year-Old AMD Processors"
China's Zhaoxin has launched the KX-7000 CPU family, offering double the performance of its predecessor, the KX-6000, but still falling short of last-gen Intel and AMD offerings. The 8-core chips, based on the x86 Century Avenue core architecture, come in two variants with different clock speeds and power targets. Initial benchmarks show the KX-7000 scoring 823 points in single-core and 3813 points in multi-core tests, placing it behind Intel's Core i3-10100F. While the KX-7000 represents progress for Zhaoxin, it still lags behind competitors, with China's Loongson presenting a more competitive alternative in the desktop PC space.
