Amazon is set to launch its first two Kuiper satellites, KuiperSat-1 and KuiperSat-2, on October 6 as part of its Protoflight mission. The satellites are part of Amazon's Project Kuiper, which aims to provide internet connectivity to remote areas using a constellation of 3,200 satellites. The launch will allow Amazon to gather real-world data and test the satellites' connection to the ground-based network and customer terminals. The company plans to deploy its first production satellites in 2024 and start beta testing with commercial consumers later that year.
