Norwegian King Flies Home After Receiving Pacemaker in Malaysia
Norway's King Harald, who recently received a pacemaker in Malaysia after being hospitalized for an infection, has departed from the country with his wife, Queen Sonja, on a medical evacuation plane. The 87-year-old monarch, known for his frail health in recent years, has undergone multiple hospital treatments, including a heart valve replacement in 2020. Crown Prince Haakon has assumed his father's duties while he is hospitalized, as Harald has no plans to abdicate despite his health challenges.
