Mass Tuberculosis Testing at Olathe Northwest High School
A tuberculosis testing clinic is being set up at Olathe Northwest High School in Kansas after a student was found to be infectious with TB since last spring. At least 425 people, including staff and students, will be tested for the disease. The clinic is expected to take a couple of weeks to process the results. TB is spread through close contact and cannot be transmitted through surfaces or casual interactions. Treatment for active cases can take 4-9 months of antibiotics.
