Legendary Latino QB Joe Kapp passes away at 85.

Joe Kapp, the first Latino football player to take a team to the Super Bowl, died at the age of 85. Kapp was a trailblazer as one of the first Mexican American stars in pro football. He also still holds a share of the NFL single-game record with seven touchdown passes. Kapp played in the Canadian Football League, leading the British Columbia Lions to their first Grey Cup title in 1964. He was also a head coach at the University of California, Berkeley, where his team pulled off "The Play" in 1982.

He is the only quarterback to lead teams to a Rose Bowl, Grey Cup, and Super Bowl. Kapp filed an antitrust suit against the NFL and won but wasn't awarded any damages. He feared he had CTE, and his brain will be studied at UC San Francisco to determine whether he was afflicted with the disease.

Kapp's brain will be sent to the University of California San Francisco for study.
