Appeals Court Allows Revival of Dismissed Michael Jackson Sex Abuse Lawsuits
Two lawsuits accusing Michael Jackson of sex abuse that were previously dismissed have been revived by a California court of appeals. The court ruled that Wade Robson and James Safechuck's lawsuits can go to trial, stating that the lawsuits against Michael Jackson-owned corporations should not have been dismissed. The suits had previously been dismissed in 2017 for being beyond the statute of limitations, but a new California law temporarily broadened the scope of sexual abuse cases. An upcoming trial will determine the validity of the allegations.
