China Honors Fallen Soldiers: J-20 Fighters Escort Remains of PLA Martyrs in Korean War
China's J-20 fifth-generation fighter jets escorted Y-20 transport aircraft carrying the remains of Chinese PLA soldiers from South Korea, marking the return of fallen soldiers from the 1950-53 Korean War. The repatriation project, initiated in 2014, has now returned 938 sets of remains to China. A burial ceremony is scheduled to take place in Shenyang, and efforts are underway to trace the families of the martyrs for reunions.
