Less than half of Ukraine's population can find shelter in available facilities - Interior Ministry

Only 77% of shelters in Ukraine are ready to receive citizens and perform their functions, and they can accommodate only 43% of Ukraine's population, according to the Minister of Internal Affairs. The government has prepared a register of all shelters with photos, videos, and the names of responsible officials. President Volodymyr Zelensky ordered a full audit of all shelters in the capital and throughout the country after the death of three people in Kyiv due to the lack of physical access to a shelter during an enemy strike.
