Wendy Osefo Arrested on Fraud Charges Amid 'Real Housewives' Controversy
Wendy Osefo, a sociology professor and cast member of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac,' was arrested in Maryland on 16 counts of insurance fraud related to a staged home burglary, with allegations that she and her husband inflated insurance claims and falsely reported stolen items. The charges stem from a reported incident in April 2024, which was later revealed to be rigged, and the case involves allegations of conspiracy and false statements. Osefo, who joined Wesleyan University in 2024, was teaching a sociology class at the time of her arrest, and her students expressed shock at the news.
