Former Disney star Matt Prokop, 35, was arrested in Victoria County, Texas on Dec. 24 on four misdemeanor charges (including bond violation, evading arrest and two counts of resisting arrest) and a second-degree felony for possession of child pornography, with prosecutors also citing past abuse allegations from ex-girlfriend Sarah Hyland; he remains jailed and no court date has been set.
Aspiring country singer Austin Tanner violated his bond conditions by attending the CMA Awards in Nashville, leading to an Alabama judge issuing a warrant for his arrest. Tanner, who was indicted on insurance fraud charges, was prohibited from leaving Alabama without permission. His bond revocation hearing is scheduled for December 4.
Alabama Rep. John Rogers has been ordered to jail for violating his bond by contacting a witness in his bribery case. Rogers, who has served in the Alabama legislature for over four decades, is facing charges of obstruction of justice and obstruction of justice by bribery. Federal prosecutors alleged that he violated his bond by FaceTiming the founder of a nonprofit involved in the case. Rogers denies attempting to contact the witness and claims it was an erroneous phone call. He is expected to be released for a hearing on Thursday.
