"UW researchers analyze COVID-19 vaccine efficacy in immunocompromised individuals"
The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is conducting a clinical trial called ARMOR to determine the effectiveness of a recombinant booster COVID-19 vaccine dose in immunosuppressed patients, such as those with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or solid organ transplant recipients. Participants will receive the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine and their immune system response will be evaluated through blood tests. The study aims to develop more effective vaccine strategies for vulnerable populations and protect them from severe illness and complications caused by COVID-19.
