Volkswagen leads the charge with affordable electric vehicles.

Volkswagen plans to release an affordable all-electric vehicle, the ID. 2all, in Europe by 2025 for under 25,000 euros ($27,000) as part of its goal to convert 80% of its brand-new sales in Europe to electric by 2030. The vehicle will have a range of 280 miles and will be the first of 10 vehicles planned for release by 2026 on the modular electric drive platform. The ID. 2all will feature an electric vehicle route planner, travel assist, and a clear design with a high-quality appearance.

Volkswagen unveils affordable ID. 2all EV concept with 279 mile range.

Volkswagen has introduced its affordable electric vehicle (EV), the ID 2all concept, which costs under €25,000 ($27,000) and has a range of up to 279 miles. The car will be based on Volkswagen's new modular electric drive platform, the MEB Entry Platform, and will be the first vehicle with front-wheel drive based on it. The ID 2all will be unveiled for all European markets in 2025, with a goal of starting it at less than €25,000. Volkswagen plans for at least one in every five vehicles sold globally to be electric by 2025, with the production version of the ID 2all being one of ten EVs launched by VW by 2026.
