Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Smoczyńska is working on her new project, Hot Spot, a sci-fi horror film about a disillusioned private eye investigating a murder at a refugee camp and confronting a cyber witch who takes control of his life. The film will be a co-production between Greece, France, and Poland and reunites Smoczyńska with screenwriter Robert Bolesto. Hot Spot is described as a personal blend of horror, science fiction, and anti-detective story. The project is being developed with the support of The Sundance Institute and is being produced by Madants and Faliro House.
