Beloved Oakland restaurant Hopscotch to close after 11 years.
Hopscotch, the critically acclaimed restaurant in Oakland known for its American classics inspired by Japanese flavors, will close its doors as a dine-in restaurant on June 22. However, chef Kyle Itani will continue to cook for Oakland residents through his catering business, Hopscotch Catering, and collaborate with former employees at Low Bar. Itani's other restaurants, Yonsei Handrolls and Itani Ramen, will remain open.
