Portland's Jewish Deli Scene Faces Challenges with Closures and Inflation.
Kornblatt's Delicatessen, Portland's oldest Jewish deli, is set to close at the end of the month after 32 years in business. However, Henry Higgins Boiled Bagels, which already supplies Kornblatt's with bagels, plans to take over the space and open a new bagel shop by May 1. Henry Higgins currently operates three bagel shops on Portland's east side.
