Milky Way's Microquasar Identified as Cosmic Ray Source
A binary system in the Milky Way, V4641 Sagittarii, has been observed emitting cosmic rays with photon energies exceeding 200 TeV, making it a new 'cosmic ray monster' and challenging previous notions that supernova remnants were the primary sources of galactic cosmic rays.
