Hamline University President Retires Amid Islamic Art Controversy Criticism.
The president of Hamline University, Fayneese Miller, has announced her plans to retire at the end of the academic year, just months after facing calls to resign over a controversy surrounding the display of Islamic art on campus. Miller, who has been president of the St. Paul, Minnesota-based university since 2015, said in a statement that she had been considering retirement for some time and that the decision was not related to the controversy.
