Fast Food Giants Use App Tracking to Improve Customer Experience

McDonald's and Chick-fil-A have introduced geofencing technology to their mobile apps to improve the mobile-order experience and reduce wait times. The technology tracks customers' locations and notifies staff when they are close, allowing them to start preparing the order. The feature has been found to improve wait times and increase customer satisfaction. The improved mobile app experience could benefit both fast-food restaurants and their customers by shortening lines and reducing the number of paid staff needed to run the restaurant.

Fast food chains use apps to track customers' location for faster service.

McDonald's and Chick-fil-A are using geofencing technology to track the locations of customers who place mobile orders, allowing staff to start preparing their meals when they are close to the restaurant. This reduces wait times and ensures that the food is still hot and fresh when customers arrive. McDonald's is currently piloting this feature, while Chick-fil-A is rolling it out this summer. The fast-food industry is adapting to the growing trend of off-premise consumption, with more people ordering food online or for take-out.

Privacy concerns arise over fertility app's data sharing practices.

The US Federal Trade Commission reached a settlement with fertility tracking app Premom over charges that it shared users' sensitive personal and health data, including pregnancy status, with third parties without consent. Google is also facing legal action over claims that it unlawfully collects health data, including searches related to abortion, on third-party websites. A Midwest group used geofencing to send targeted anti-abortion ads to mobile phones belonging to people who visited some Planned Parenthood clinics. Social media monitoring firm Dataminr helped the US Marshals Service surveil abortion rights advocates by flagging protest organizers' and attendees' Twitter posts and sharing them with the federal law enforcement agency.

ChatGPT provided three options, including setting up a VPN connection or a proxy server. Stan followed ChatGPT's instructions and successfully accessed Google Bard. The exercise shows that one chatbot's limitations can be overcome by using another, even if the companies that built them didn't envision it that way.

ChatGPT Users Beware: Cybercriminals Targeting Accounts and Personal Info

Criminals in countries blocked by OpenAI are seeking ways to access ChatGPT, a chatbot powered by AI technology, to advance their operations. The market for stolen ChatGPT accounts, particularly premium subscriptions, has increased since March. Stolen accounts are offered for sale, and some criminals share compromised premium accounts to advertise their own services or tools to steal accounts. Criminals are using account checkers and bruteforcing tools to steal and sell ChatGPT accounts. Stolen accounts present a potential privacy risk as they store recent queries generated by the account owner, which may include personal and corporate details.
