Unveiling Earth's Rarest Mineral: A Singular Discovery
Kyawthuite, the world's rarest mineral, has only been found once, in Myanmar, and is currently housed at the National History Museum of Los Angeles County. Discovered by gemologist Kyaw Thu, this unique mineral was initially mistaken for scheelite but was later identified as a natural form of bismuth antimonate. Its rarity and unique formation conditions make it priceless, surpassing even the value of painite, the second-rarest gem.
