Barkley Urges Accountability as Minneapolis Shooting Delays NBA Game
After a fatal shooting by a federal officer in Minneapolis, which eyewitness footage later disputed as possibly showing a phone rather than a weapon, the NBA postponed the Timberwolves–Warriors game to prioritize community safety. Charles Barkley condemned the deaths, saying “Two people have died for no reason” and urging adults to take responsibility, as the city has seen a second fatal federal shooting this month (with an earlier ICE killing cited). The league rescheduled the game for Sunday as part of its safety response.
