London-based cosmetic dentist Dr. Sam Jethwa has revealed the five foods people should avoid for the sake of their teeth. These include pork crackling, olives with pits, gobstoppers and jaw-breakers, turmeric lattes, and toffee candies. These foods can cause tooth decay, cracks, chips, and dislodge fillings, crowns, composite bondings, or braces. Aging also plays a factor in teeth becoming weaker. Jethwa advises against turmeric lattes as the bright yellow powder can stain teeth and veneers.
