"Regional Eateries Shine: James Beard Award Nominations for Local Restaurants"
Four Raleigh restaurants have been nominated for James Beard Awards, including Ajja, Crawford & Son, Bittersweet, and Cheeni. La Buena Vida, a modern Mexican restaurant, is expanding to Cary, while State of Beer and Flour & Barrel are set to open in 2024. Little City Brewing is closing, but Flour & Barrel will take its place. Additionally, Little Native Coffee is now open in Raleigh, and a new Starbucks is coming to Celebration at Six Forks. In Durham, ThaiAngle is set to open, and Geer Street is hosting Chinese Week. Lastly, the annual Triangle Restaurant Week is ongoing, and various food events and fundraisers are taking place in the area.
