Universal Plaza brings new life to downtown Tigard with food carts and community amenities.

Universal Plaza, a new outdoor public gathering space in downtown Tigard, has been unveiled to the public with amenities such as oversized porch swings, green spaces, Tigard's first splash pad, a bike and pedestrian path, and food carts. The plaza will host community events, year-round food carts, and more. The second phase of the plaza will add an overhead canopy and a community room.

Spate of Bend Food Cart Burglaries and Arby's Crash Shock Community

At least 10 food carts, coffee stands, and restaurants were burglarized in Bend, Oregon, overnight on Thursday and Friday. The burglars broke doors and windows to enter the businesses and took cash, cash registers, iPads, tablets, and point-of-sale technology. Police believe all the burglaries were committed by the same suspect or suspects driving a Mazda Miata with a beige convertible top. The incidents caused hundreds of dollars in damage to each of the businesses. Police have released security photos and asked the public to help identify and catch the culprits.
