Google Flights introduces price guarantee for cheaper airfare.
Google is piloting a price guarantee for airline bookings, promising to compensate customers if a Google-guaranteed ticket price gets cheaper before the time of the flight. However, the feature comes with restrictions, including a $5 minimum price difference and a $500 total back per year limit for up to three guaranteed bookings. The guarantee only applies to flights departing from US airports and offered by airlines participating in the "Book on Google" program. The move is intended to attract more users to Google's flight search platform, but it could also put the tech giant at risk of losing money.
