Middle East Airspace Disruptions: Iran's Drone Attack and Regional Responses
Airspace closures in the Middle East led to flight diversions as Iran launched drones towards Israel, prompting Israel, Jordan, and Iraq to close their airspace. United Airlines, the only U.S. carrier to have resumed service to Israel since October, called off its Newark to Tel Aviv flight and was also likely to cancel its Washington Dulles to Amman flight. Other airlines, such as Delta and American, have not yet resumed Israel service. Flight-tracking site Flightradar24 reported multiple flight diversions bound for Tel Aviv and Amman.
