Private Moon Rover to Launch on SpaceX Starship in 2026.

SpaceX has signed a commercial cargo contract with Astrolab to reserve a spot on an uncrewed Starship cargo mission to the Moon, which could launch as early as mid-2026. Astrolab is building a vehicle called the FLEX rover, which is about the size of a Jeep Wrangler and can carry up to two astronauts. The rover will become the largest to travel the lunar surface and will assist with cargo and building a permanent human presence on the Moon and beyond.
