Ohio Lawmaker Seeks Ban on Flag Planting at Stadium After Brawl
An Ohio lawmaker has proposed a bill, the O.H.I.O Sportsmanship Act, to ban flag-planting on the Ohio Stadium football field after Michigan's victory over Ohio State led to a brawl when Michigan players attempted to plant their flag. The bill, introduced by State Rep. Josh Williams, would make such actions a fifth-degree felony, though it is unlikely to pass before the current legislative session ends. The incident resulted in fines for both schools and has continued to stir controversy.
