Wildfires Destroy Historic Grand Canyon Lodge and Prompt Evacuations
A wildfire near the Grand Canyon in Arizona has destroyed the historic Grand Canyon Lodge and numerous other buildings, leading to the closure of the North Rim for the rest of the 2025 tourist season. The fires, named Dragon Bravo and White Sage, have burned over 40,000 acres and caused evacuations, but no injuries have been reported. The South Rim remains open, and authorities continue to work on containment.
