Kourtni Smith, a 34-year-old mother of five from Maryland, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, is using her experience to raise awareness and encourage other women to seek medical help. Smith was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive lobular carcinoma in 2021, which progressed to stage 4 and has now spread to her brain. With only a few months to live, she is focused on making memories with her family and preparing for the end. Smith hopes her story will inspire others to overcome their fear of going to the doctor.
