Texas pond ice tragedy claims three young lives
Three brothers aged six, eight and nine died after falling through ice on a private pond in Bonham, Texas, while playing near the water. Their mother attempted to rescue them, but the ice broke, and a neighbor helped pull her out. The two older boys were recovered by emergency responders and a neighbor; the youngest was found after an extensive search. The deaths occurred during a severe winter storm affecting much of the US, and the boys’ school offered counselors to students and staff.
