"Controversial Figures Clash: Megyn Kelly vs RFK Jr."

Megyn Kelly defended Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after his sister, Kerry Kennedy, condemned his remarks suggesting COVID-19 may have been "ethnically targeted." Kelly criticized Kerry for kicking her brother when he was down. Kerry Kennedy released a statement through the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights foundation, repudiating her brother's remarks and emphasizing that they do not align with the organization's values. RFK Jr.'s nephew, former Rep. Joe Kennedy III, also condemned his uncle's comments. RFK Jr. attempted to clarify his statements, denying that he suggested the virus was targeted to spare Jews. The Department of Energy and the FBI have assessed that COVID-19 escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China, but there is no evidence it was designed to spare certain religious groups or ethnicities.

RFK Jr.'s Controversial Claim: Was Covid-19 Ethnically Targeted to Spare Jews?

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longshot Democratic presidential candidate and conspiracy theorist, disputed a report claiming he said Covid-19 was ethnically targeted to spare Jews. In a video, Kennedy discussed bioweapons and claimed that Covid-19 disproportionately affects certain races, mentioning that Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people are more immune. Kennedy later defended his remarks, stating they were not anti-Semitic and that he never suggested the virus was deliberately engineered to spare Jews. This is not the first time Kennedy has faced criticism for controversial statements, including implying that Anne Frank had more freedom than those under vaccine mandates.

RFK Jr. Sparks Controversy with COVID Ethnic Targeting Claims

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested during a press event that COVID-19 may have been "ethnically targeted" to spare Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people. He claimed that the virus was a genetically engineered bioweapon and warned of more dire biological weapons in the pipeline. Kennedy offered no evidence to support his claims, and his remarks echo anti-Semitic conspiracy theories blaming Jews for the pandemic. Jewish organizations criticized his remarks, and experts have refuted the idea of deliberate ethnic targeting. Kennedy's campaign has drawn support from disaffected elements of both the right and left, but he remains a long-shot candidate.

Sudan's War Displaces 2 Million, Ethnic Attacks May Be War Crimes

More than two million people in Sudan have been displaced due to two months of fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with at least 959 civilians killed and about 4,750 others wounded. The fighting has forced more than 1.6 million people to leave their homes for safer areas inside Sudan, and about 530,000 others have fled to neighbouring countries. The RSF and allied Arab militias have been accused of ethnic targeting and large-scale targeted attacks against civilians based on their ethnic identities, which could amount to crimes against humanity.
